Sounds like fun.

Carol in Oregon

You wrote it up to perfection. I could see the dark interior, cringe at the Coors sign, smell the seafood, taste the Guiness, and hear Mary Black. Thanks for the vicarious thrill.

I have to go now...I need to research and listen to Mary Black, a musician I haven't yet heard.

PS - John McPhee is on my wish list. It was good to see that you enjoyed The Crofter and the Laird.

Douglas I am sorry that I am responding to Soko's AM article ref in your blog. I have to admit I didn't finish it yet, but I found the history lesson interesting. You see I was under the impression that BLOG was an onomatopoeia, for the incessant ralphing of whatever was ricocheting around between the bloggers ears....

Superb review! Mary never disappoints, and it's rare to see her give such an intimate concert. I'm so glad you got to experience this on your Irish sojourn. We miss you all! Blessings

oh my I would have loved to be there with you guys. How about inviting me next time. In case you haven't heard, I have 50 kids and could use a vacation...lanie

Thanks for writing this review. I have never seen her live (have all her albums) and am so excited to get to see her at some concerts in America in November.
